AUSTRALIA-based gospel musician Tari Vushe is set to make waves in the music industry after finalising a new single and joining an American record label.
Her new single, “Hallelujah,” a praise-filled Amapiano track, to be released this Friday, is her debut project under American record label — Ocean Five Records.
“It’s a huge leap and a lot of work for me, and demanding. It’s a praise Amapiano song, my first single after being signed to the American Ocean Five Records,” said Vushe.
The music video for Hallelujah was shot on a location in Mbare, and Vushe recalls the experience as “fun and adventurous.”
The video features a cast of Zimbabwean-based dancers, highlighting Zimbabwean talent on the international stage.
Every aspect of the single’s production, from recording and mixing to mastering, took place in Zimbabwe, by local producer Rayo Beats.
“The rain really tested our limits, with makeup running down our faces, but the whole thing was an experience.
“Mixing with the kids at Chill Spot was cool. It was an experience shooting in the ghetto and fun,” she added.
The song is a collaborative songwriting effort by Vushe and Nigerian musician AMB Paradise.
With this single release, she is establishing herself as a significant voice in contemporary gospel music, especially in its fusion with Amapiano.
