ZIFA hails ERSL game changing deal with Pacific Storm

The Eastern Region Soccer League (ERSL) has successfully launched a landmark sponsorship deal with Pacific Storm, aimed to boost the league.

The launch ceremony was held in Masvingo at Mucheke on Saturday.

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) CEO Yvonne Manwa, who was the guest of honour, hailed the partnership as a critical step in commercialising football and attracting corporate investment.

“This partnership is a testament to the potential of the Eastern Region,” Manwa said.

“ZIFA is committed to quarterly financial accountability reports, and we urge our affiliates to follow suit to ensure transparency and sustain corporate trust.”

ERSL Chairman Wisdom Simba said the partnership will go a long way motivating players.

“This sponsorship is very important for the region, as it will provide monetary value and incentives to all clubs at the end of the season, a first since 2001,” Simba said.

“It will uplift football, especially for young players who will now have extra motivation.”

Kudakwashe Chiutsi, Marketing Manager of Pacific Storm, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that the company was proud to invest in local talent.
