Mablanyo speaks on his future at Dynamos

Dynamos head coach Lloyd ‘Mablanyo’ Chigowe has expressed doubts about his future at the club, citing lack of results.
DeMbare were held to a goalless draw by Kwekwe United on Sunday, adding to their struggles this season.

The Harare giants have managed just seven points out of a possible 24.

Mablanyo’s challenges were compounded by a poor preseason and the departure of several key players, leaving him to ‘scavenge’ for greenhorns.

“I accept whatever outcome. Because that is the nature of the job.

“So, you cannot go on and say, I deserve to continue when the results are not coming.

That’s part of the job. But you take responsibility for what is happening at the moment,” said Mablanyo.

The current executive led by Moses Maunganidze has faced criticism for failing to secure resources, which has impacted the team’s performance.

And Mablanyo is aware that he will face all the criticism.

“Well, to cut a long story short, the buck stops with the coach.”

Chigowe admitted that the fans had every right to be frustrated.

“Yeah, it’s normal in a club like Dynamos. Even if you look at Scotland, they are not happy with draws despite…

“So, you must expect that when results are not coming, the fans will not be happy. And I understand that pressure, because they want a win, nothing less, nothing more.”
