Dynamos have been accused of busing supporters to fill the Vietnam Stand during Sunday’s Harare Derby, following a fan boycott that left the popular stand nearly empty at kick-off.
Sources within the club allege that Dynamos opened gates for fans to save their face after diehard fans boycotted the match.
According to the Premier Soccer League, 8,622 paying fans attended the match, making it one of the worst attended Harare derbies.
The official figures also seem to be in contrast with the pictures at Rufaro after the alleged rented crowd.
“They bused fans from Mbare Musika, and that’s why the PSL numbers are so low,” a source close to the club revealed.
“One way or another, more than 8,622 people were in that stadium, so it should give you the answer.”
The alleged move has sparked outrage among loyal supporters, who see it as a desperate attempt to mask the growing discontent with the club’s management.
Dynamos officials are yet to respond to the allegations.
