Twelve people were killed Tuesday morning when a fuel tanker collided with two vehicles near the Sebakwe river, along the Harare-Bulawayo highway.
The fatal crash occurred at the 200 kilometre peg near Kwekwe, Midlands Province, involving a petrol tanker with two trailers, a two-tonne truck, and a mushikashika Nissan Ad Van carrying 12 people.

Police said the fuel tanker, which was heading towards Kwekwe from Harare, first sideswiped the two-tonne truck coming from the opposite direction before colliding head-on with the Nissan Ad Van.
