Triangle seeks to upset MWOS

Sport Reporter

Triangle head coach Genesis Mangombe has boldly declared his side’s readiness to upset league leaders MWOS when the two teams face off in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League showdown this Sunday at Gibbo.

MWOS, currently unbeaten and sitting comfortably at the top of the table, will face a determined Triangle side desperate to turn their season around.

Mangombe, who took charge after the club separated with Luke Masomere, said his team has nothing to lose against the high-flying visitors.

“Playing a team at the top of the log means we have nothing to lose.

“They haven’t lost any game at the moment, while we have been struggling both home and away.

“But since my arrival, there have been improvements, including finding the back of the net more consistently.”

Triangle have endured a difficult campaign, and are languishing in the relegation zone.

However, Mangombe believes his squad can play without pressure and cause an upset.

“We are the underdogs, and that works in our favour.

“There’s no pressure on us at home, and we are going to make this very difficult for them.”
MWOS, meanwhile, will look to maintain their unbeaten streak and extend their lead at the summit.

Their rock-solid defense and clinical attack have made them the team to beat this season.
