Black Rhinos extended their unbeaten streak in the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) with a gritty 1-0 win over Agama at Pfura on Thursday, further cementing their status as the only team yet to taste defeat this season.
The decisive moment came in the first half when Tatenda Mchisa found the back of the net, handing Agama a damaging home loss.
The result leaves Agama stranded in second place with 29 points, four behind log leaders N’ombeyawora, who secured a 1-0 victory over Golden Eagles.
Rhinos, now third with 28 points, continue to build momentum in their title charge after a slow start to the campaign.
Mchisa, speaking to the media, said he is happy with the goal,
“I am happy with the goal. It was a long wait for me to be here today, but finally, it happened.
“It wasn’t easy playing against Agama, but we emerged the better side.”
