FC Hunters beat Tenax 1-0 in a Pacific Storm Eastern Region Soccer League top-of-the table clash at the weekend.
After the result, Hunters maintained pole position with 32 points while Tenax remained on 31 – although with a game in hand.
This also saw an end to Tenax’s five-match unbeaten run.
Masvingo United hammered Manica Diamonds Juniors 5-0 to take their tally to 29 points and keep pressure on pace-setters – Hunters and Tenax.
In other results, ambitious side FC Wangu Mazodze suffered a 1-2 defeat at home to Chivhu.
Former Premiership outfit Buffaloes floored GZU 1-0 while Mutare City 1-0 winners at Destiny Stars.
Rusitu defeated Tongogara 4-1 with Deportivo La Murambinda awarded a 3-0 walkover after Renco Mine failed to show up for the match.
The Eastern Region Soccer league got a boost following the coming in of Pacific Storm as the sponsors.
Pacific Storm is sponsoring the prize money for the league as well as other packages including monthly awards.
