Mambas host Rhinos in a uniformed forces battle

Black Mambas are set to host Black Rhinos at Mkushi Academy Grounds on Saturday in a Northern Region Soccer League match.

The match reignites classic memories of the old battle between the uniformed forces, dubbed the battle of the uniformed forces over the years.

Warumwa Warumwa are going into the match with the boost of their technical team, with recently appointed Charles Rukwanhi as club assistant coach.

Rukwanhi was with the club last year as a player and was recently plighting his trade with Mashonaland West Division Two A side Norton Big Boys.

Mambas played to a goalless draw in their last encounter against Harare City, and will have to bring their best game against an undefeated Black Rhinos side, who are highly motivated after a 1-0 win against Banket.

Rukwanhi said he is happy to be back home and seeks to help the team improve,

“It’s good to be back home, and I am happy that the team is doing well. I am sure that we still have a chance to improve during the second round of games and bounce back in the championship race.

“Warumwa Warumwa is a big team, and I am confident that they will return to where they belong. I am grateful to be part of the technical team as well as working with former teammate Hungwe,” said Rukwanhi.

The other matches will see unpredictable Chegutu Pirates taking on N’ombeyaora at Pfupajena in what is expected to be a thriller.

Agama, who recently lost head coach Arthur Tutani to FC Oden, will host Chinhoyi Rangers as Zambezi Coal and Gas entertain Ngezi Platinum U-19 at Centenary Sports Club.
