Madlambuzi – Police in Madlambuzi, Zimbabwe’s Matebeleland South Province have arrested a mentally unstable man after he reportedly ran amok and killed five people.
The suspect, Phamani Sibanda (43) became violent and attacked seven people with a mopani log, a blunt object, while moving aggressively around the village.
Police National Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said the five victims have been identified as Elliot Khupe aged 101 years, Butho Tshuma (97), Constance Sibanda (66), Tiffan Surprise Ndlovu aged six and 72 year old Catra Matsika.
The two injured females aged 90 and 41 are admitted at Madlambuzi Clinic and Plumtree District Hospital for treatment.
