TRANSFORM Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume has claimed the arrest of Job Sikhala was setup.
The politician’s claims follow viral pictures Job Sikhala handcuffed in South Africa after allegedly being found with a contraband of explosives.
In a social media post, Ngarivhume said:
“I have been informed that Job Sikhala has been arrested in South Africa.
‘Mai Sikhala told me that while Job was at a meeting last night, one of his hosts asked to check something in his car. He took the keys and then went away.
“He returned after thirty minutes and asked that they all leave the meeting for it was getting late.”
Ngarivhume added that Job Sikhala was stopped by police on the way, and a contraband of explosives was found in his car.
Sikhala is being held at a Police Station in Pretoria and according to Ngarivhume, lawyers have been dispatched from Zimbabwe to help on the case.
